September club meeting saw another superb demonstration by Sean Helman. His exemplary skills on the traditional Pole Lathe allowed us to see the craftmanship and physical effort that goes into turning a bowl by hand. After a short break for tea/coffee Sean demonstrated another one of his many skills in carving a ‘Fan Bird’ out of one piece of Ash and in some places carved down to less than a millimetre in thickness…..another wonderful evening.
